We're home, sweet home :).
the honeymoon was wonderful......I recommend Big Cedar Lodge to anyone looking for excellent service, nice people, and great food. :) Seriously, we were so impressed with every aspect of the Lodge..
It is good to be home, and we have a lot of livin' to do. I start school (I'll start on classroom work tomorrow.....next week I have a couple of days with full meetings...and the week of August 11th I start full time!)...Brett starts work again tomorrow and grad. school soon.
We are so blessed by everyone who came to the wedding or sent well wishes. Goodness, our blessings are almost too much to contain...and yes, I do remember who was at the wedding and I thank each one of you for coming! :)
It is deeply satisfying and good...to be Mrs. Torbett :).

Last night as a single gal!
I really have no words to explain how completely overjoyed and overblessed I am to marry Brett. He is everything I prayed for.........and more. I see a lot of the same qualities in Brett that I've admired and appreciated in my dad my whole life. My daddy has always (and still does) spoil us girls....and Brett does the same. From the smallest things (like bringing me TWO scoops of icecream and a brownie without me even asking tonight at the rehearsal)......to the big things, like putting my needs always, before his, Brett truly has a servant's heart.

I guess I did have a few words huh. :) There has been so much to do, and still is, but I guess tonight at the rehearsal it finally got to feel real. I realized I would actually get to see all of the decorations and food and wonderful people that are coming in for the wedding. And I would get to be Mrs. Sara Kaye Torbett! :)

A huge thank-you from Brett and I....for every hand that has helped with this wedding, for all of the "congrats" and "best wishes".......for all of the food prep and decoration help (THANKS MOMMA!), for idea help, and people to host showers and a rehearsal dinner......for people who've asked "What can I do to help?" , for prayers and blessings, for people being genuinely happy for Brett and I......for every single person that has been apart of this wedding...
Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you!
I'd better get my beauty rest for tonight. :) I so look forward to seeing each and every one of you tomorrow! We'll be home from our honeymoon later on in the week. Love ya'll!

Thank-you again, Grandma, for the cool clock!

Brett, Daddy, and Seth got the bed/dresser moved into the condo last night. A huge thanks to Seth and Daddy for helping Brett! We also had a church shower last night and it was amazing. I had such a wonderful time....Brett and I are so blessed to have such a large number of people genuinely excited for us and ready to celebrate our marriage.

TWO DAYS:) :) I talked to a friend today from college who is coming, along with her husband, to the wedding. My goodness I am so excited to be married, but also to see many faces I haven't seen in a long time.

Better get back to cleanin'! Remember today that God is a good, good God-and so faithful.

Prayers please-I cannot stop sneezing today and my head is hurting pretty bad. I'm claiming healing!
Three days until I become Mrs. Torbett! I am more than ready (and I can honestly say Brett is too :) )

I've been rearranging and cleaning things out still around the condo. Yesterday Brett and I worked on the kitchen some.....we still have some work to do. We're trying to figure out what we'll be able to keep at the condo and what needs to be stored....and then finding room for all of the stuff we're keeping here.

The condo is starting to feel like our home now and I like that. :)

We have been so blessed with wonderful friends and family to help us during this time. We've also been blessed by many NWA businesses and their friendly, helpful staff.
Office Depot, Sikes Greenhouse, Fayetteville Town Center, S and K Menswear, David's Bridal, Rose of Sharon florist, Hobby Lobby, Dillards, Olivia Sordo, Helzberg Diamonds, those are just a few!

Tonight the church is having a shower for Brett and I. I will attend, and he is going to move his bed/dresser into the condo. I get to have a sleepover at momma and daddy's for a few nights. (think I can convince Daddy to make some breakfast one morning? :) :) :) :) :) :) )

Oh! And my Uncle Bob and cousin Anna are coming in Thursday from Virginia! :) I'm excited, it's been a couple of years since I've seen them last. I will be excited to introduce them to all of you.
Love.

This is our dining room table :).

I organized the storage room today! There were many upset Charlotte's (creepy, crawly, but maybe friendly? spiders).
More thoughts later tonight!

We are getting married in
O-N-E
WEEK!!!!
Hooray! :)

Pasta anyone?Today I had a very nice visit from a fellow teacher and her husband. They were so kind to come by the condo to wish Brett and I well and to drop off this gift! Brett is at work so I called him to make sure it was okay with him if I opened the gift-it was :). We got this nice pasta set! It actually came with four bowls....and showed soup (or sauce for the pasta) in the pot.

9 days until the wedding..... :) For those of you who don't know, we will be going to Big Cedar Lodge afterwards for several days. We are looking forward to fishing, relaxing, being outdoors, and wonderful food. We have been impressed with the service so far and we haven't even arrived yet.

This is my current "educational read". I have been working away at this book and am slowly starting to make progress. It is a very, very lengthy book but one of the best I have ever read. If you are a teacher or parent I highly recommend it! (Even if you have a daughter like my niece Kyla who already loves to read :) )

This afternoon I will be making 7 layer dip and stuff for tacos, which I'm going to share with Seth, Jana, and Brett tonight (caleb will have to watch this time). I'm excited! I'm also going to try this freezer recipe for Spinach Chicken Enchiladas. http://busycooks.about.com/od/precookedpoultryrecipes/r/chixenchiladas.htm
I'll have to get Jan to give me a report on them after they have them for dinner at a later date.

'till next time,

blessings!

Good Morning!
Isn't he handsome??

11 days to go! I was talking with a friend Saturday and saying how incredibly ready we both are. Absolutely, 120% ready to become Mr. and Mrs. Brett Torbett...... soon enough!

I got to spend time with the other two handsome guys in my life this weekend.............

Mr. Caleb Mccraine
Mr. Nathan Cross-Yes, those are my wedding shoes he's chewing on. Just for a second though :).

I also got to see Kyla, my niece this weekend. She saw me when I had my wedding dress on for bridal pics and got all excited. She asked "Why do you have your marry costume on?" Becca was asking her what people do when they're married and she said "oh, just play a little". :) Such a sweet girl.
I don't know how I could be more blessed....such precious kids! I sure do enjoy them.

This week I will be.........Working on completing every item on the wedding to do lists (yes, there are multiple ones), cleaning the condo, and if there's time....working on a bit of school prep. Goodness, there's a lot to do the next two weeks!

If you get time, this is a blog I enjoy:

And lastly, a book that is highly motivating to me. It is a children's book, but that's not the motivating factor. The cool thing is, I know the author. She is a girl my age and is a third-grade teacher. We went to college together..... I am in such awe that she has her own book published! Wow. :)

Blogger is S-L-O-W and runnin' on it's own sweet time (which is not so sweet to me today) sooo for the time being, click on the link below to see our engagement pics. I would (ideally) like to post them all on the actual blog..but it's taking over two minutes to post each picture...so try the link below for now! :) :) :) Won't be long now! 13 days..

Newest addition-this little guy is my new nephew, Caleb! Jana and Seth are his momma/daddy. Isn't he the sweetest? This sweet girl is Kyla, Nathan's big sister. She has a lot of personality, a heart for God (she talks to him often and tells me that he talks to her as well!), and a genuine love for life! Her two favorites in life right now are eyes and cookies (that's what I hear at least!).

This is Nathan, another new addition! His momma and daddy are Sam and Becca.....if this doesn't make your heart melt-I don't know what will!

After looking at all these pictures I had the thought "Am I blessed or what?!"" Sure do love these kids. :)
My current "projects" are--working on a slideshow for the wedding and getting the music for the ceremony/reception ready. I'm also having my bridal portraits done tomorrow :).. I should be able to post some engagement pics soon (Saturday) so keep checking. (I know you're all just on the edge of your seats waiting).
Brett and I finished pre-marital counseling yesterday-we passed! :)
We're down to 15 days.

17 days until I become Mrs. Sara Kaye Torbett! :) Brett and I are both just so thrilled....we feel as ready and prepared as a couple can be to start life together.

Tonight we are having our very good friend Sally Dorman take engagement pictures for us. She is a bridesmaid in the wedding and a friend I've had my whole life. I am looking forward to the pictures! It should be a fun, relaxed time.

I'm also having my bridal portraits taken on Friday. I'd better make sure my smile is good to go this week....I don't think I'll have a problem though. :) I will post some of the engagement pics when I get them back, but not the bridal ones!! Sorry-wait and see! :)

I have been working at school some as well too....just trying to stay balanced between wedding, school, home, etc. This is the last week I can go to school until after the wedding/honeymoon because they will be waxing the floors and we're not allowed in during that time. So, I tried to get some more done at school today and at least get a plan because the school year is quickly approaching as well.

I honestly feel that God is gearing me up for a totally new stage of life....He has been providing me with new creativity, confidence,insight...... :) our God is a good, good God.

After:
Before: ( the picture you see above is the left cabinet in this picture)
Today has been another busy one. I have had to be very self-disciplined this summer by working on things around the condo, things for school, and wedding. Today I went to school and worked for a few hours. It was so nice to make progress there!

Random thoughts: The wedding is in 22 days. :)
If you haven't read any books or devotionals by Beth Moore I definitely recommend her! A christian fiction author I extremely like is Francine Rivers.
I'm excitedly waiting for Caleb (my new nephew) to come ! He should be here tonight :).
I'm excited to work on wedding things but also relax some with Brett this weekend....

Better go get busy. Talk to ya'll soon!

I'm getting to be a regular mower :). I mowed the yard at the house on the farm last night with the push mower, all by myself. It really only took a bit over an hour and was a great workout! Which, by the way, I volunteered to do the yard............Brett did not make me! :)

OH! and I did start the mower by myself-twice!

In other "news" I have been working on wedding/house/school stuff like usual. I am going to have my sister take my bridal portraits July 11th. I am very excited about this!

I have been wanting some magazine files for school and found some boring clear (but cheap!) ones at Target today. I dressed them up a bit. If they look hideous please write me an e-mail to save me the embarassment of displaying them at school! However, I like them so I might just embarrass myself anyway :).

Well, it's off to pre-marital counseling.

22 days until the wedding-------wahooo! :)
