I bought this book on clearance before we found out if we were having a boy or girl-perhaps I knew it was a girl all along :).

These pages describe the kind of momma I want to be :)

I made this little album using supplies I had at home to show off our baby girl. :)

Brett took me to dinner last night (Chili's-what a treat!) and to Chuck E. Cheese afterwards. We spent $3 and had a blast! :) :) :) I heart ski ball. :)

New paint color! Brett took these and said 3 or 4 times how much better it looked in real life and with th sun shining on it. We are pleased! We will have either 4 or 5 craftsman columns with rock at the front of the house as well...

today's weather reminded us of the boat and Beaver Lake and fishing the pond :).

"you have made my day"....

There are four pregnant teachers at Westwood, including myself. Today, one of those teachers (the librarian ) absolutely made my day by bringing me these little socks for our baby girl. :)
If these aren't precious-I don't know what is.

She absolutely made my day by giving me a sweet reminder, in the midst of all the house/condo decisions, church functions, chores, farm work, school work, etc.
that there is a sweet baby girl, who I will get to meet soon! (and whose sweet feet I will adore in these socks!) :)

These scraps might not look like much now, but I'm going to sand on them and someday paint or stain them to make blocks for our baby girl. :) I rescued these scraps from our house construction site !

First sewing project for baby girl: Burp cloth :)

These are the colors the nursery will be decorated in: orange, aqua, green, blue, and hopefully some mustard yellow too......

Joann's was having a great sale :), hence all the material. I'm going to make a taggie blanket out of this stack....

Not sure what I'll do with this....but it was too cute to pass up. :)

Today I spent time with Brett and Jack on the farm....looking around our house and tagging cattle. Jack taught me how to put the tags on this device....so Brett would get the cows going in the right direction, Jack would get them in place, and I'd hand the tag over :).

Our fireplace, complete with rock. We love it!

A "peek" into our view from Fairway Circle...

Yeah for snow days this week!

Our dear, dear friends, Louis and Regina (and baby Marcell!) are moving on Tuesday. :( We got to spend an evening with them and some other friends as well last night. It was great fun to have such good fellowship with other believers. We laughed and laughed, and then tried not to cry as we prayed over the Bordes family.
As Michael W. Smith says....."Friends are friends forever, if the Lords the Lord of them."

Today I'd like to do something different for a post.....by participating in Kelly's Korner, "Show us your singles"! :) I would love to introduce one of my best friends, Mikayla Barrow.
Mikayla is a 26-year old teacher who lives in Northwest Arkansas. She loves the Lord, and is very involved in her church. She is very friendly, outgoing, and has a really fun personality! She is athletic, enjoys the outdoors, and traveling. She is interested in finding a man of God who can complement her passion for serving the Lord.

*Leave me a comment if you're interested in e-mailing Mikayla!

After the posts the last few days Brett informed me they were "depressing" and I needed a cheerful weekend post. :) haha....I found this humorous because I hardly ever put anything negative on here and plus, it only takes me a day or two to bounce back to cheerful. :)
Brett finished my bathroom cleaning for me this morning AND made pancakes, eggs, and sausage so I could sleep 'till 8:30. What a treat! :)

I'm wearing my "lullabelly" as I'm writing this....Just kidding. :) Isn't this hysterical?! Do people seriously wear these?

Brett's been saying "hi" to baby lately by speaking to my tummy. Tonight's conversation went something like this...
"Kick once if you're girl and twice if you're a boy"...

and then "Kick once if you like the name______and twice if you like the name_____."
Funny. :) We find out Thursday! Any guesses anyone?

:( Semper has a broken leg.

This is the culvert going into our driveway! We will have a gate in the fence as well.

Bookshelf on side of island closest to dining room..

Driveway pad going out of our garage. We had to have this built up several feet with red dirt.

French doors that will go in on two different walls of the nursery/playroom. I'm debating on whether or not to put curtains over them that can be tied or pulled back during the day? moms out there-what do you think? This room is right next to the great room....

My laundry/craft room. :) :) :) :) :) :)

The fireplace will have rocks (well, artificial ) all the way up......

View of cabinets/island in kitchen...the cabinets will be painted antique white

AhhhH! okay...so the paint color isn't THAT bad. BUT, this is the "minty" paint that's on the house right now.....we are going to get a new paint color soon, I hope. The section on the right will be covered in rock as well.
:)
