New green, springy shirt. Brett helped me pick it out.
By the way, I went into B Sewin today and they gave me some pointers on my embroidery. I KNEW it didn't look quite right........ :) They looked at it and said it was a very "creative design"...and that they'd never seen anything quite like it. HA. That's code for "How in the world did the pattern end up lo0king like that?!"
Anyway, they were actually extremely helpful and gave me some pointers so that the bobbin thread doesn't show (the white thread) and so that the actual colored thread does show. I'll try it later and post pics!

Hooray! I have a new bulletin board, which I sorta made with Brett. It's rather empty now...but will fill up soon :).
This is my laptop/sewing machine/work/creative "area" at home. My little nook.

This is the scary bulletin board before........Somewhere, there's a 12 year old girl who worked real hard on this felt picture! And unfortunately, it was demolished today. :) No more unicorns!

Finished embroidery...the quality of the picture isn't that great. I thought the design was pretty!

YEP_That would be my lovely sewing machine embroidering! :) I have tried several times to get this part of my fancy schmancy machine to work, always without much luck. However, one of my goals lately is to improve on things like this, and try to make progress (no matter how small). So...I kept trying and reading the manual and tonight embroidered something! I don't think I used the best thread or best color....but hey, something ended up on the material! Things can only go up from here :)

This weekend we ate at our first-date restaurant (and one of our all-time favorite restaurants), Hugos. It's a restaurant underground on the Fayetteville square. I even made Brett sit at our first date table :) HA :)

A list of lately's:
1.) I have really fallen down on the job of making Brett feel famous by photographing every funny thing he does........or every meal we eat. I will have to get back to it. :)
2.) I am feeling better...still not back to "normal"....but getting there. I have a dear husband who takes very, very good care of me.
3.) Quilt meeting was today! This is a group of women who meet do talk about sewing, quilting, etc....we also eat really good fun and just enjoy one another's company. Always a good time!

We are officially bookin' it to "the boot" (Italy, that is) Saturday, July 18th, and will return Saturday, August 1st. Tickets have been purchased.....we fly from here to Atlanta, and then on to Rome.......same for the way home (from Rome to Atlanta, then to XNA).
So that I don't repeat the details of our trip or drive anyone crazy with details :) I will post them on here instead. Look for more soon!
p.s. the extra step i didn't see coming was having to pay for a new passport....because of my name changed. I only used the old one once...... :( BUT, I think I've come out ahead. ;)
