Finished quilt top! (minus the border)

My newest sewing book. In my defense (because I seem to "collect" these) I truly only have three sewing books now....can you ever have too many?

The owl bag is (wrinkly) official finished! this is the tiny owl I put on the back.. Hopefully Kyla likes it :)

Close-up of owl on purse for Kyla :). I used wonder-under (sp?) to put the owls and design on the canvas bag, and then hand-sewed around each shape with upholstery thread.
In this picture only the owl on the right is sewn, but you get the idea... :) This purse has a long, off-white smooth rope handle too.

Hooray! I just embroidered my first t-shirt, EVER!
I am very pleased with how it turned out....

A peek into daily life...yes, the kitchen gets that messy when I cook :)..... No worries, the mess doesn't last. :)
