Meet our new classmates! My students have been collecting numbers on a hundreds chart since the beginning of the school year...trying to get a bingo. They finally did! They voted and picked getting a class pet as their choice, so we now have two fish to add to our classroom! I can't wait to show the students tomorrow!

Weekend recap: I made cinnamon rolls on Sunday and they were super fast! Total time for prep work and baking time was 1 hour (or less). Yum!

Brett enjoyed some football :) Wouldn't be a fall weekend without the Razorbacks! :)

I did some quick fall decorating; changed out some artwork with polka dot scrapbook paper-easy, festive fix!

:) Still loving the tablerunner (or table cloth in our case) momma made me last year...looks great with some mini pumpkins!

Got to wear my FAVORITE shoes for the first time this season on Saturday!

So I talked to momma Saturday and she mentioned biscuits and gravy. Well, then that was all I could think of! I was wanting some realllly bad so Brett went by Curt's place Sunday after church and got me some :).

*House update* I think they poured our garage and front porch today! (That's what I heard through the grapevine)

Meet Yertle.
Yertle is a fun-loving turtle, happy and colorful. Or so I thought.
I snagged Yertle from the farm to take into my classroom tomorrow (my kids earned a class pet and thought Yertle would do for now). Yertle escaped from the box in my car on the way into town, crawled under the passenger seat, and around in back....I had to pull over and box him up again! finally made it home with him and he peed all over and was hissing and scratching. I felt so mean. So, I set him free, hoping he doesn't get run over by a car in the parking lot. Good luck Yertle!

Brett and I met Jana, Seth, Caleb, and Lainey at Chick-fil-a Friday night and then Brett and I went to walk around the Pinnacle Mall. We had fun looking at Border's and Pottery Barn (our dream store) :)

A BIG thanks to Grandma and Papaw coming to my classroom Friday!! :) The kids were thrilled and Grandma and Papaw got to be teachers for a minute. :) There was a group of visitors from another school at Westwood, walking around learning more about our program. So Nandra (the assistant principal) asked me if I'd explain a bit of our IB units to the group, and answer a few questions, so Grandma and Papaw were left in the classroom with the kiddos for a few minutes by themselves. They were pros. :)

This tree is gorgeous every single fall and right outside my desk window at the condo. I just love looking at it. :)

"Old Place"
Yesterday we traveled to the site where Janice was born, and she and her siblings grew up. It took us over an hour to get there and was waaaay out there, past Kingston. The views were lovely on the way! We had lunch there and took a walk, and then headed back.

As you can see, I took advantage of the over an hour drive and slept on the way back. :)

"someone" is quite taken with Lainey in church on Sundays ;)
