Life has been busier than ever lately!
I've had Breakout quite a few times, and have it two more times coming up. This is my discipleship group of kids I lead a few times a month. Last week we talked about a life of Joy, and how joy is not dependent on our circumstances! I also used the quote "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!" to teach the kids how God can take the sour, icky things of life, and always makes something good from it. We then squeezed and squeezed lemons, added some sugar and water, and made delicious lemonade! The best part? The kids GOT IT. :) The Tulsa Opera came to our school today to perform Hansel and Gretel. What a treat! :) The kids got to yell "Bravo" when they saw something they liked. It was too cute to hear kids yelling (with all they had) "Bravo" and clapping for a bit of culture.

5 weeks of school left, and then I'm a 4th year teacher! :)

:) Happy Easter! Thank-you momma and daddy for a great, enjoyable afternoon! Everyone (except us this time) brought food and we had a delicious lunch, followed by good dessert (my mom made the cute birds nests below). We also played Cranium and played with the kids a lot.
At the Capper house, you're never too old to receive an Easter treat :). Turns out my mysterious "back pain" was actually a kidney infection. I've been resting and drinking tons of water and am feeling a lot better. Probably one of the most miserable infections I've ever had though! I will definitely continue drinking LOTS of water throughout the day from now on.....
Have a blessed week, and remember-take it

To answer momma's ?, yes, Brett has discovered a whole new world! He likes his new glasses a lot :), and keeps saying how much more detailed things look.
In other news, I have had a pretty severe back-ache since Tuesday.....I took Excedrin Back and Body today and it eased the pain some...but once the medicine wears off it hurts very badly. Please pray this goes away! If it is not gone tomorrow I will make a Dr.'s appointment I guess.....

Wasn't today wonderfully sunny?
I thought so. :)
I started a new bible study at church tonight! This one's a long one...it will take two 8-week sessions, with a 4-week break in-between. I am looking forward to it immensely.
Beth Moore made a very good point on our first vide of the book tonight (which is about John).
She had us put our pens down and NOT fill in the blanks that were available on the page.
She challenged us to learn from the heart.......and not just fill in our blanks and call it good. This was an excellent reminder! There is much, much more to growing in Christ than filling in the blanks.
"Because children have abounding vitality, because they are in spirit fierce and free, therefore they want things repeated and unchanged. They always say, "Do it again"; and the grown-up person does it again until he is nearly dead. For grown-up people are not strong enough to exult in monotony. But perhaps God is strong enough to exult in monotony. It is possible that God says every morning, "Do it again" to the sun; and every evening, "Do it again" to the moon. It may not be automatic necessity that makes all daisies alike; it may be that God makes every daisy separately, but has never got tired of making them. It may be that He has the eternal appetite of infancy; for we have sinned and grown old, and our Father is younger than we."

Brett made breakfast Sunday morning :). It was DELICIOUS ( eggs, cheese, onion, bell pepper, ham, and JALAPENOS)
Also, here's a recipe for the salad we had for dinner tonight. We had a few chips and salsa as well, and were filled up :).
