It's been a bit quiet around here lately, but this is what I've been up to the most! :)

I've also sewn a few things for Becca...but I'll wait 'till after her shower to post. Fall Party is this Saturday! Plus, Brett and I volunteered to help my breakout group for "Trunk or Treat"...we will be decorating his truck, "Honduran theme" ...........totally my kiddos idea, and Brett is on board too. :) :) Should be a fun, new experience!

Quick house update! They dug the footings yesterday, and today filled them in with concrete (see below) Progress, progress! :)

Last night Brett and I went to Chick-fil-a, and then walked to Pier One and Barnes and Noble to look around. We had fun being able to talk and hang out! (and be silly of course) :). This is me in my razorback and camo today-I looked at Brett and said "What have you done to me?!" :) after this photo.

biggest news?!?!?! Look at our lot!! That's it---in the picture above!!!!!!! :) :) :) The other picture is a glimpse of our day as well-there's Kenneth on the machines moving the trees, dirt, etc, Janice, Brett, and Jim Bowerman chatting away. :) He came over for quite a while today and is so excited for us.
This is the view facing the old house, if you're standing on our lot. We are having some trees cut down over there as well so we'll have a nice open view. We are so pleased and so excited! Monday they start the foundation.

This week the sunrise looked extra beautiful before work Friday. :)
We worked on the fence today and made great progress! I was taking a rest, and found a little perch on the back of Brett's truck to sit on :). I also stumbled over some barb wire fence and fell (nothing serious at all!) and got my first barb wire tear in my jeans! I've also been helping Brett more with the fence stuff-rather than just clearing the fence. He just may make a country girl out of me yet.
Well, sorta at least. ;)

Praise God! We have electricity at our house site now :) Every bit of progress counts!

Having a ball :)

Last week I made a yummy salad for dinner, with a dressing on top made of diced cucumbers, greek yogurt, and some spices! Yum!!
I finished my firt Christmas present this weekend-this patchwork ball for Lainey. I have a few puckers here and there because this was quite challenging to sew. Overall, I think I did all-right :) and the ball is actually quite bouncy! :) (as Brett found out quickly)

Plus, I know a certain two-year old brother would love to show his little sister how to roll a ball. I know she's still little, but I figure she can at least look at it and maybe sometime before next Christmas learn to roll it a bit.

Last week on our walk one night we saw this beautiful rainbow! :) :) My good 'ol country lovin' husband has real grass growing in his truck. No joke! I saw it for myself :)

We spruced up the outside of our condo and are really liking it!

Great birthday weekend! lots of fun, food, and family time at the farm :)

I made the bird bag above :) and we went to Eureka Saturday! Great weather, fun with Brett, wonderful coffee :) So fun.

I want this vehicle by the way :) and this is a view of "The Daily Roast", our most favorite coffee spot in Eureka.

Birthday weekend! Brett surprised me yesterday with a very pretty purple scarf, and purple earrings for my birthday! :) (no worries-I won't wear this combination together-this is after work yesterday when I first received the present!)

We had a really fun date night last night! We picked up burgers from the T and T diner in Sonora, and then drove to the pond to sit on the tailgate and eat.

Brett decided to do a little tree-climbing while we were there.... :) Actually I was at the pond and didn't see Brett, and he had climbed right up into this tree! Here's a picture or two of his "birds eye view"

Yeah! Fishing was a success!! It was so relaxing and fun to go fishing with Brett! We can't wait 'till we can go more often when we live out there. We were having a fishing contest until Brett caught at least 6 or 7 and I only caught 3 (sorta).

Brett's a gentleman and still takes the fish off the hook for me because I'm still too girly or too chicken to do it myself :)

What beauty at the farm! Praise Jesus for the rain and cooler weather too.

More fun things to come this weekend! Eureka Springs today after Brett gets off work and birthday party tomorrow at the old house!

:)
